New postgresql database that replaced SQL Express Edition
« on: June 17, 2019, 07:35:25 PM »
I migrated to the Avast Business Antivirus Pro from EndPoint Protection fairly recently, so I am trying to figure out the new postgresql database, i.e. backups and updates.

Updating looks like it will be a manual process instead of simply releasing an update or SP through WSUS in Windows.  The database that installed shows that it is version 9.6.3, but the most recent version is 9.6.13.  I assume I should keep it updated, and that I can do minor version updates without causing any problems with the Avast console version 6.0.14.  Is this correct?  Anybody have any easy directions for a newbie that just has one windows server?  I have not changed or customized a single thing.  Will Avast updates of the console update the database also?  I guess I would be surprised.

I have looked around in pgadmin4 and performed a backup using the defaults and found the version number.  That is about it.

Thanks for any help.
