Afaik, GoogleDNS is only used as fallback if your regular DNS servers don't work.

What the hell is with avast!. Tried it again, took 20 minutes to install and now avast! icon sits in taskbar with red cross. Liek the last time when I had to forcibly remove it in safe mode with uninstall utility. I've had this stupid long install time nonsense before, but this time it's just straight up dead broken. WTF

EDIT:
Used repair function, nothing, until I restarted the system. Ugh.

and of some concern, but it is no more than a tout to purchase the ransomware program for resolving
these issues.

As I am in common with the other 4.4 billion users of the Internet, I reckon I can give that one
a miss and live dangerously.

As I stated in my video, If you're using the free version and don't intend to purchase the paid additions that cover these "vulnerabilities",
simply ignore this.

I also received these notices with the free version.
I just installed the OMNI beta version which includes all the bells and whistles and ran the smart scan and was surprised  by the results.

Nothing has changed on the computer except the Avast version.  :o

Hi Bob
I don't think that ransomware scanning is part of the smartscan (in it settings, there is no option to integrate this scan), even with a version integrating this shield, in any case with my AIS, I have to use directly the scan of the ransomware shield, it detects me my vulnerable folders which are usually "My documents" "My images" and "desktop" (3 primary folders?) so it may be normal that the OMNI smartscan does not find anything  ....

... no more to detect the vulnerability of fake websites ,  that's just to make you buy secureline VPN  ;), AIS offered it to me with the same message before I disabled the avast product offer option in privacy
He told me that I was not protected because someone could locate me. In fact, he was locating me somewhere other than home... at the address of my own VPN in a country other than mine.  ;D

avast has to offer something other than free to live , no ?  ;)
