Most Recent Avast Update Disabled DisplayPort
« on: June 27, 2019, 11:10:56 AM »
I have been using the screen without incident since I bought it. The video drivers are the most recent and haven't been updated in some time. I have been using my computer every day without a problem in the past few months.

Today, I am using my computer (hadn't installed anything and barely used the internet) when Avast prompts me for an update.

I oblige and restart my computer. When it boots back up, everything is fine except the DisplayPort no longer registers any device attached. I reinstall my video drivers, restart, reinstall Avast, restart. Problem persists. I am currently using a sh***y old monitor at 1024x768 via a conversion cable to the HDMI port.

Update: full screen applications often trigger the same blank screen in HDMI as DisplayPort

OS: Windows 10 Pro x64
GPU: Nvidia GTX 1080Ti
Mobo: ASUS Z370-E
Screen: Samsung CHG70
