Just installed it, ran a scan no issues found so guess my router is compatible

I read your post as "nothing happened". Or were you guided through a "purchase" flow to fulfill Avast Omni?
I really don"t understand your question but all I did was install it and ran a smartscan
You were supposed to run a compatibility scan not a smart scan.

There is no problem running Secure Browser when using Omni provided you aren't blocking it's access with the firewall.
Please don't take this post Off Topic. Start your own post on your Secure Browser problem.

@DavidR,

What does my router have to do with the ASB?

Well you started it by posting about ASB not working in what is the Avast Omni topic. If you have Omni installed and the router is compatible then ASB 'should' work.  Why yours doesn't is beyond me.  As Bob suggests you should post this in the ASB forum.

@bob3160,

Excuse me but how do I do a compatibility scan?
Look at the screenshot. It's the first thing that comes up when you open the user interface.
(Are you sure you should be beta testing?)

Thanks Will. :)

bob3160 try it now please. We've relaxed the router assessment which should allow you to step in. Based on the GUID you provided, your case seems to be caused by router identification not by IPv6. Please try and let us know.

Thank you.
I've done a repair of Omni, rebooted the system, but, I'm still getting the message that my router is not compatible right now.  :(
What else do you need from me to get this resolved? Thanks
Bump.

Well, NVG589 is on the black list. I went ahead and ran the Omni software to see if anything had changed. It's still incompatible. It's an Arris AT&T U-verse router so there are plenty of customers. Darn it.

@Bob
Did you manage to disabled ipv6? It's highly likely this is why you're having issues.

@midnight
Can you please DM me your issue please with precise steps on how we might replicate.

Thanks,
W

@ Will.
As stated, I can not disable ipv6 on this router.

I was surprised that my router was found to be compatible as I have an TP-Link Archer C2600 but its running OpenWRT not the stock firmware.  Gotta give props to the Devs for including this compatibility!

I am one of the Beta testers, and it was really easy to install. the only problem I'm having so far, is using the app on my phone.  it asks me for a pairing code, and I have no idea where to find it.  :-\

Annette,

You can get the pairing code from the Avast Omni program on the computer. When you add your phone to your profile there, it will generate the pairing code.
