That's quite a big number... are you sure it really measures external upload only (and doesn't include some kind of internal computer traffic as well)?
If you can create a support package and post its ID here, I'd check the logs if anything stands out.

4 year old information on Security related stuff is a bit outdated. Many things change in that timeframe.
Granted, sometimes things get worse but, this information is to old for me to depend on.

It is not to old because it tell you (in a general way) how  all AV work and what they do these days (not specific to avast) after all the cloud backend stuff was added

It tells you how it was done 4 years ago.

It tells you how it was done 4 years ago.
And it is still done in a similar way. Feel free to specify the exact changes

To a certain degree, but there is no way to tell and no way to confirm, certainly not on an article to support your post.

Plus there is no way a user could specify exact changes in much the same way you couldn't quantify them either (more so when you aren't using Avast).

Not needed for giving a general description about what antivirus programs upload to the cloud, and the above was the first i found doing a quick search

you find similar info in avast blog and avast eula

The problem being you ask Bob to feel free 'to specify the exact changes' when you can't do the same.  Quoting the Eula as a reference is also dodging specifics.  It isn't going to quantify what may be uploaded and Igor (an Avast Team Member) "That's quite a big number..." and seeks further information.

That's quite a big number... are you sure it really measures external upload only (and doesn't include some kind of internal computer traffic as well)?
If you can create a support package and post its ID here, I'd check the logs if anything stands out.

That reply really should have brought this topic to a halt whilst awaiting a support package.

I thought no one replied again on my post. Turns out I just didn't enable the notif.

Anyway, I think you're right.

What does it do though? Does it read first what's being uploaded by all of the programs of my PC?
