downloaded simplyzip v1.1b64 from here:
http://www.paehl.de/home.htm
after installation avast reported a trojan Win32:Crypt-DI
i am using Avast 4.7 Home Edition (Build 4.7.871) and have the
latest virus signatures installed
the author claims a false positive
and his program was certified as virus free by softpedia.com
looks like the problem is avast home edition

can anybody confirm this please?

I scanned with avast 4.7.869 and vps 0633-0 (which are the latests) and nothing suspicious is found after extracting the files.

EDIT:
Fotinet finds the file suspicious
VBA32 identifies it as suspected of Backdoor.Bifrose.2

All 3 vendors have been informed and have received the file.
It is now up to them.
