Avast notification

Last year, if I recall, when Avast had a new update/upgrade, a window would pop-up notifiying of the update and then complete its action.
Now, I go Updating and AVS update to check for updates.

Is this normal, or have I added something to my machine causing this action?

Using ver. 4.7 Home Edition.

Check the settings if you still have automatic updates enabled.

Check the Update (Basic) Details button and ensure the relevant options are set so you see them.

Also what is your VPS version, latest is 0633-1 and program 4.7.871, see about avast.
