Disk Doctor wont restart PC to fix issues
« on: July 13, 2019, 06:02:29 PM »
Subject says it all really, have Cleanup Premium and Disk Doctor wont restart PC having scanned c drive and saying it has issues. Click the restart button and the box disappears but no restart occurs and Disk Doctor still says it has issues that need fixing. Any advice greatly appreciated!

Hi,

well that's quite unusual and we haven't encountered it before.
I would like to ask you to provide us with logs so we can investigate it further.

You can simply send them by executing our log collector utility from this path C:\Program Files (x86)\AVAST Software\Avast Cleanup\tulogcollector.exe assuming that you have still Avast Cleanup installed on your computer.
Just please add your email address there so we can join the logs with your report here.
Thank you.

After a discussion with our developers I found out that there might be already a fix for this issue however we haven't released it yet (it will go out in the next version).
In case you don't want to wait for the new version to come out, there might be a solution for you even now.

The whole issue is because there is a wrong registry on the PC, so as a quick fix you could import the attached registry: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1KWisLahAbvH_6F0vE75VHCPtzZXilTpn.
Just download the .reg file and import it by right-clicking it (it will require administrator access rights). It should then work, if not, try to restart the PC and then open Cleanup Disk Doctor to check it once more.

It is still possible that it might be a different issue, in that case we would still need the log files, as I wrote above.

Thank you and have nice day.
