Hello!

So my problem is that when i turn on my computer and my internet adapter tries to connect to internet i have seen that avast firewall is blocking svchost and system preventing internet access. I know for sure that it is the Avast firewall cause when i turn it off, and restart my internet adapter it inmediately connects without problem. The same happens when i already have internet access and i turn avast firewall on and then open ExpressVPN it is not able to create connection.

I have tried to turn private both networks, also tried to open ports and give permission to C:\Windows\System32\svchost.exe & system in avast firewall but it dont resolve it it keeps showing in the firewall log, column rule: Public Tcp/Udp In Block

thanks in advance.

@  Do you get an avast alert when this happens (a screenshot of the alert window could be helpful) ?
It may well be blocking svchost.exe, but generally there will be a program using/abusing the svchost.exe internet connection abilities.

For the most parts I only used to see the OS using svchost.exe to connect to the internet, in the past malware has also been trying to use this only to be blocked by avast.

Whist I don't use an avast version with a firewall nor a VPN, I can't see anything of use (to me) in the images.

I don't know how tight your settings are in the firewall, but one setting, being on Public mode it pretty well nailed down (possibly more so if using a VPN).  If you haven't got your avast firewall set to Private mode I would certainly give that a try.

Hopefully someone using the avast firewall can assist with this.

I already did that. Is avast Firewall so bad that you don't use it?

Many of us including David, use the free version of Avast which doesn't include the Firewall module.

I wasn't making a suggestion to change the avast firewall or it being bad, just that I don't have it installed so can't be detailed about what to try.

Asyn actually uses the Avast Firewall in his installation of Avast Premier, I would have thought he may have a suggestion, but he is currently on the beta channel so there could be differences.

Did you try contacting support using the link in Asyn's Reply #3 ?

The more lines of enquiry the better.

I have also tried to attract attention to this topic.
