Windows Defender Overwrites Avast
« on: July 23, 2019, 10:44:19 AM »
Hi,

Avast business user here having issues with windows 10 and windows defender.

When you install the latest package from the avast dashboard it all installs fine, upon reboot windows defender is active and avast is not active (behaviour shield, firewall, fire shield are turned off). Once you turn them on avast works fine until the computer is switched off. Each time you restart the computer you have to reactivate avast, this would be fine for one user but because we have roughly 200 users we can't guarantee they will turn on avast per each login.

I have tried deactivating windows defender, but upon restart the real-time protection kicks back in and still avast remains switched off. Is there a way to make it so Avast activates all it's services upon start, overwriting windows defender?

Thanks
Carl
