New Version: 75.1 Zermatt

Hello all

We have released a new version of Avast Secure Browser - 75.1 called Zermatt. It contains two new features that make the browser even better and faster than before.
This version includes a new performance optimization feature, called Performance Manager, which reduces RAM and CPU usage and extends battery life. Also we have added Hack Check notifications.

Browse Faster: Performance Manager can halve the amount of RAM the browser uses vs our previous version by suspending tabs.
Browse Longer: Performance Manager through optimising CPU extends your battery life.
Get alerted to data breaches: The next version of Hack Check automatically alerts you if you have been the victim of a data breach.
Homogenise your fingerprint: New version of Anti-Fingerprinting delivers more advanced techniques to keep you protected.

Performance Manager - Optimizes CPU & RAM usage by and extends battery life:
This feature will benefit browser users who regularly have multiple tabs open, particularly those using machines with limited memory or laptop users, for whom it will help conserve battery.
Automatically suspending tabs reduces memory consumption and leads to longer battery life, which could translate to better performance of the user's computer.



Hack Check - Be alerted if your data has been compromised:
The Hack Check feature has been improved with new warning pop-ups. These pop-ups are shown when we detect that your login data might be compromised (most likely stolen). In this case Hack Check recommends changing your password immediately.
It also prompts a user when we detect that the user's password is weak and offers a password generator for creating a new one.



Other changes and fixes:
- Fixed potential issue with H.264 video decoding
- New doodle on the New Tab Page
- Fixed manually added search engine disappearing after relaunch

You should get this new version automatically via update. Please be patient, the delivery of the update is gradual.

Hi,

I installed this new version after i unnistalled the beta version and removed the browser registry keys (HKLM and HKCU). I cannot see the hack check extension doesn´t exist in here, i already unnistalled and reinstalled several times, i tried with different languages Portuguese and now English, but same issue still . If you have Avast Passwords installed and the extension activated, then the HackCheck extension will disable itself as Avast Passwords provides the same protections against leaked passwords.

@fvmb, your diagnostics information shows that you do have Avast Passwords installed and enabled, so HackCheck should be disabled. Interestingly though, it is not listed under the disabled extensions, so I have passed your information to the Secure Browser team to investigate further.

I just received an update to the new version.  It lost my old Autofill address and when I try to add it back it doesn't open a form for me to insert it.

Hi, what is exactly the problem? For me an autofill works fine for URL bar (omnibox), for new tab page search bar it shows me suggested searches, but it doesn't autofill, this is the problem?
