Scanning apps that's not been updated.
« on: September 03, 2019, 03:39:02 AM »
I've got an app that says it's been updated maybe 20 minutes ago but the Play Store has no knowledge of the app being updated at all. Now who do I believe your app (bearing in mind that other people have complained about the same issue) or the Play Store? Hmmmm it's a tough one..........

Stating that an update is available doesn't mean it's been installed.
It means it's available to be installed.

No if Avast has said it has been installed then I would of expected it to be installed. I checked and there was nothing waiting to be installed either.

Hi, bob3160 might be rightfully a bit confused, as the screenshot you have posted only shows a notification about the update being available.
But we are aware of the issue you are referring to, as a few other users complainined about it in the past, too.

There is a problem with the amount of information the Android system is actually providing us with, and so far we have no chance to do anything about it.
But we might consider investigating, whether it is possible to verify that an update actually happened, as now it seems to affect more users.
Thanks!
