I started having an issue on my Mac where moving or deleting files in the Finder was causing constant "spinning beach balls." After much trouble shooting determined it was Avast causing the issue. Uninstalling Avast solved my problem. I want to report this as a bug but apparently this is the only place I can do that.
Meanwhile, I've had to switch to another product for my Anti Virus. needs.
