I week ago I was charged by DRI*AVAST Software / avast.com/or for 71.39 USD. I neither not use any Avast software nor have any Avast subscriptions. Could someone explain to me what this charge is about and how I can get a refund? Thank you in advance.

My wife uses Avast, so it could be the case. Thank you for the info!

Ok, after 1 month the problem is solved. It seems that I'll to get back my money in 5 working days. According to Avast support: "Please be informed that the charge was for conversion from Trial of Avast Internet Security - order ID 64468096900 - registered under xxx@xxx.xxx.", but the email they mentioned doesn't even exist...

The email address they had was what you supplied. Glad it's resolved.

Just another incident - same problem. I do not use AVAST for years and have not placed any orders but my account was debited yesterday (26th August) for a similar amount. Statement reads:  "26 Aug    DRI AVAST SOFTWARE AVAST COM ORDIE -$63.24"
A query has been sent to AVAST via the suggested channel.
That this has happened so often suggest a problem somewhere........

Red face time! I just discovered an old PC of my wife's (no longer used) had a two year subscription AVAST Cleanup. It expires in a week and was automatically renewed yesterday! My fault - but now happy it wasn't a scam.......... :(
Cheers

Just paid for a subscription for an avast feature yesterday.

I always unsubscribe shortly after my order is accepted and confirmed.   Doing so will prevent all issues in the future as the current subscription is set to expire, just like the other ones I have.  Unsubscribing does not affect the new subscription, it just removes automatic renewal.

It really is no trouble at all to manually renew when needed.

Look in the window with your new subscription information and always look for the subscription date and period.  There always has been an UNSUBSCRIBE link provided there; so feel free to use it.

When placing the order, you can refuse to accept auto renewal at the time of purchase. :)
