Windows Defender says Avast is not on [Solved]
« on: September 04, 2019, 07:41:48 PM »

This is what I see, even though Avast is definitely turned on and the Avast Firewall is also turned on. Has anyone experienced this before?

You can "Backup your Settings" by going to Menu/Settings/General and Troublshooting. At the bottom there is the option to "Backup Settings" and "Restore Settings"

Okey dokey, I backed it up and will try repairing it now! I hope I don't mess anything up by doing that. :D

Thanks for the help, all!  8) ;)
The repair happened very quickly and after the restart now it appears to be fixed.
Does the Windows Defender automatically stay dormant when another antivirus software is being used?

Yes, when Avast is installed Windows Defender is disabled. :)
