Infection even with Avast!!

Pay for protection that didnt work. Been safe for a long time and run scans often.
Windows Explorer kept closing programs and restarting. 24 hours of that was enough!
Took my laptop to my computer store and what do they find? Malwate and Viruses!
Now, its costing me $169 to have my laptop cleaned up.
Thinks Avast should foot that bill for not alerting me and saying I am protected when in fact that wasn't the case!

NO security program have 100% detection or zero false positives, if they did there would not exist a malware problem on internet

And since you give no info it is not possible to say what and why
