avast firewall blocks firefox for 2 minutes with each update (FF)

For about 4 months now, every time I update my firefox, the avast firewall blocks the opening of the browser:
white screen with wheel that turns for more than a minute then the menu appears with my home page trying to open and almost a minute to open it.
If I deactivate the firewall, everything is fine.
If I reactivate it: blocking.
If I re-open my session: blocking.
If I restart my computer: ok , no more blocking until the next firefox update.

After the penultimate update, I had made an avast repair -> the problem was still there .
After the last update, I did a clean install -> the problem is still there today.

Now it's not very annoying since I know how to do it (reboot my computer), but I don't understand what's bothering the firewall until I reboot.
Next time, I'll try (before rebooting) to check without the firefox add-ons ...

Hi Chris, no issues here with Firefox ESR.

My other computer W7 64 with the same avast, same FF 73.0, same add-ons ... have no issue(has never had).
That's why the problem is hard to pinpoint.
With the next update, before restarting, I would try to target my additional add-ons then if I find the culprit, his custom settings (probably different from the other computer).

I'd suggest to set the Avast FW to "Ask", it might help to find the culprit.

updated from version 73.0.1 , issue again , avast FW was set to "ask" , but didn't ask me anything just after update (ask only after restart).
before restarting my computer, I restarted firefox in safe mode (without add-ons), it didn't change anything.
I wonder what's bothering the firewall that doesn't disturb it anymore after restart.

Till you restart, you most likely haven't done completed the update.

It's a possibility indeed. I'll look into it.
Now that you say it, it seems to me that there is no more the scroll bar "firefox installs the updates and will restart in a few moments." after the firefox updates like I have with other computers
