Duplicate process (AvastUI.exe)
« on: September 24, 2019, 11:53:06 PM »
Hi folks.

After last update i have a strange... issue.

Instead one AvastUI.exe process - i have two, in a task manager (look at the screenshot).

Both process was launched from the same file (from main Avast folder). So it doesnt look like a virus (i'm not sure of course).

But the first one - was launched by default (in a same time with windows). Second - was launched when i goes online.

Anyone know how i can solve this problem?

Thanks.

See:  https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=229461.msg1519779#msg1519779.

But my version - 19.8.2393. (build 19.8.4793.535) viral signatures 190923-2 interface version 1.0.409
(screenshot)

And it looks like the problem - still here.

P.S. Actually, I did not have this problem in 19.7.2388 version. It pop up AFTER update to version 19.8.2393.

I don't know why you have quoted my post as it is unrelated to your comment above.

I have only confirmed that there are multiple instances of the AvastUI.exe running in the task manager (what this topic is about), no other issues.

Sorry, just....  i thought that "now normal in version 19.8.2393" - was meant, that it was fixed.

+It doesn't looks normal. Because both process - from one file, and one of them - does nothing. Like he just stuck in a task manager.

That's the behavior of the new Chromium component. So yes, that's correct - not a bug.
