Avast Secure Browser gets in a loop on my website
« on: December 14, 2019, 12:17:30 PM »

I am webmaster of a site The real home page of this site is at
In the <head>-part of index.html there is forward as follows: <meta http-equiv="refresh" content="0;url=" />

I just changed from http to https, using the plugin Really Simple SSL on the Wordpress site.
Now with Avast Secure browser, everything works fine when I give in the address But of course, if I give in only or, I want it to redirect to that address.
This works fine in all the other browsers I tried (Firefox, Edge and Chrome on Windows; Safari, Chrome and Firefox on Mac), but not with Avast Secure Browser. With this browser, the page remains blank, while the favicon seems to flicker between the standard Avast favicon and the moving circle signalling loading page. Also, the cross to close the page keeps flickering on and off. This to me suggests some infinite loop.

Can anybody give me some suggestions?

Thanks, Marleen Sint

Hi Marleen Sint,
thank you for reporting this and sorry for my late reply. It seems that you solved this issue as I can't reproduce it (Windows and Mac Avast Secure Browser). Let us know in case of any other problems :)!

Have a nice day
