Win32:Vitro detected in new Kingston Traveler USB drive
« on: November 23, 2019, 11:31:59 AM »
I have Avast Premier Security (paid). I inserted a new Kingston Traveler USB drive (16GB) which I opened from shrink-wrapped new packaging (which I have retained). I was alarmed to see that APS detected INF:Agent-D
in the Autorun.inf file and Win32:Vitro buried in the recycler in a file named tNilyKUw.exe.  I have sent to Avast the file for analysis.  I have Googled for other occurrences of infection of Kingston products without success.  Anyone have any comments or similar experiences?

Upload the file to Dropbox or something and drop a download link here so I can have a look as well.

Cheers
