hotjar.com alert
« on: May 11, 2020, 05:14:19 PM »
Please Help.

I've had 4 Avast notifications today stating:

Threat Blocked
We've safely aborted a connection on:
vars.hotjar.com
script.hotjar.com (twice)
static.hotjar.com
because it was infected with URL:Blacklist

Is this a false positive or something else?  I've run Avast and Malwarebytes with no detections found.

Submit the web site address using the following  form:

I'm not sure which website it was.  I had about 10 tabs opened.  The Avast notification did not show it and I did not know how to copy everything.  Now all I can see is under notification history but there is no detail.  I have submitted the form like you recommended.  Thank you.

I'm sorry.   I was not clear. I had about 10 tabs open, the one that was on top when I got the Avast notification was drivethrurpg. None of the tabs I had open were hotjar.com. I have never heard of it before today.

avast is telling you what URLs it blocked and not what you had open.

You have probably noticed that many websites have ads, so this may be from a ad on one of the websites you where browsing

If you want to know if they are correctly / wrongly blocked you have to submit them using the link given in post above
