Switching AVs

Basically, anything that has "Norton" or "Symantec" in the name (Files and such) I should delete from my computer?

Better if you 'move' the files to another folder (new one created by you) than to delete them...
Remember, they're not infected, just can conflict... if you delete wrong files is worse.
But, before doing that, follow Add/Remove programs and the other steps, they should be enough

I used the "Search" function, and it brought up a few things...

Link.symantec.url
Link.symantecstore.url
PNG files
Some Text Documents, and a Symantec Security check.

So i'd just move these to a New Made folder, then delete?

(Terribly sorry for being newbish, just don't want anything to happen)

Start>All Programs> PC Security and Backup, and it's in there.

There is no rush to delete they aren't taking up much space, I would wait to ensure things are stable a week or two.

Do what you want 
I suggest waiting some days, make sure avast is working, then you can delete them... you will avoid having to download them again, although this will be highly unprobable...

Interesting that Dr Web link checker (Firefox extension) won't completely check the link. McAfee Site Advisor gives the site less than a green rating.
