Bank mode blocking images
« on: December 08, 2019, 10:44:17 PM »
Hello everyone,

I use the bank mode to shop at the supermarket. I used to be able to have a look at the products, but I can't do it any more. Instead of a picture, all I see is the phrase "Image not found". (I'm attaching a screenshot.)

I've tried going to "site settings" - "permissions (of this particular site)" - "allow images, flash, etc", but I still can't see the pictures, which makes shopping difficult, if not impossible...

Is there a way to solve this?

Thanks in advance!

Program version 19.8.2393 (build 19.8.4793.541)
Virus definition version 191207-0

Operating System Windows 7 Ultimate

Sorry... which website?

I did a forum search, but I couldn't find anything related to this topic.

I'd really appreciate if anyone could help me. I have to use a "regular" browser when I'm paying for Avast Premium!

<snip>

I think Bob is after the url for the site you have the problem in the image you posted.  That way he would probably try to access the site with the Avast Secure Browse and see if he can view the product images.

I don't use the Avast Secure Browser, so I can't follow up on this.

Exactly correct. The browser doesn't require a paid version but I'm sure Avast appreciates the fact that you are using one. :)

That's because you have to type the product you want to buy.

Sorry... it's in Spanish... but I've circled in red where you have to type it.

And when all the products are shown, you can't see them.

Sorry but the second I type a 'p' in that search box, my browser switches to the print mode.
Don't know if it's a language thing or something else.
I've alerted Avast to this thread let's see if that helps.

Hi Andrea M.,
I had a look into this and unfortunately this initially is not a problem of the Bank Mode or our browser. The page is loaded in https but images in the shop are loaded as http. As this is not a safe approach our browser force images to load with https but the shop does not support it.

Just a brief intro into this: https://www.izooto.com/blog/understanding-http-https-protocols

This website with blocked mixed content need to be fixed on shop's side. However, we'll discuss this in team if there is anything we can do.
Sorry for the inconvenience caused and thank you for reporting!
