avast premium - AV not recognized as active after Win 10 Pro/64 KB4532441

Avast Premium ver. 19.8.2393 on Windows 10 Pro/64, build 1909 (ver. 18363.535).  After Dec. 2019 WU (KB4532441), Security Center does not recognize AV component as active. "Turn On" button in Security Center has no effect.  Firewall *is* recognized as active. Repair installation x2 has no effect.  No change in settings, all core shields present and correct.

Any ideas?

Make that two updates: KB4532441 (Autopilot) and KB4530684 (Dec 2019 Cumulative Update)

And it's fixed.  A reboot after the second repair (from within AvastUI) restored the connection to Win 10's Security Center.  I don't know what got fixed, or why.

And yes, I'm officially confused.
