Patch Managment

We are not currently using patch management and we do not intend to for a long time but we still have devices in our console with status alerts saying that multiple patches may be missing. Is there any way to clear these status alerts? I remember reading that a recent patch was suppose to fix these alerts but it seems like it is still happening.
