sleep?

I'm running Catalina on an iMac.  I like to put the monitor to sleep when I'm not using it. Does Avast run when the monitor is sleeping?  Will Avast prevent the computer going to sleep.  I don't see a scheduler in Avast.  If there is one, will Avast wake the computer to run Avast?

Avast should not block your iMac from sleep(ing). And Avast will go to sleep as well. There is no need to run any app when the Mac is in sleep mode... Once your iMac wakes up then Avast (and the other apps) will be back again.
