Numbers beside avast

Hello

I keep getting numbers on the avast logo on home page of mobile phone is says 1 or 2, how do you know what to check as nothing is numbered inside the app

Is it an overdue scan ! Wifi check or what please can someone explain.

Whilst I'm not entirely sure if this is the same as when this happens in the Windows version of Avast.  This is an indication that there are some notifications for your attention, exactly what I don't know as I have never experienced this on my mobile.

I did try to find something in the mobile app settings the three bars, but I too couldn't find anything.

Yes it's a pain when I see 2 but the 3 lines dont tell you anything. Would be good if they had a 1 beside each one or even a different colour.

The numbers attached to the Avast app icon refer to notifications. You must retain (do not delete) the notification that "Avast is running". If you delete that notification you will stop Avast app running.
Other notifications like scan completed etc can be read and deleted.
So you will always see Avast(1) icon on your screen.

Ok think I understand that so what does it mean when it has a 2 next to it

Sorry if this is sounding silly just trying to understand how it works.

Avast(2) icon simply indicates you have 2 Notifications in your Avast app, one of which will be the "permanent notification" relating to Avast running in the background.

Hi, these are Android 8+ notifications, can be disabled in the system settings.

- go to your device Settings
- tap "Notifications"
- tap "Avast Mobile Security" app
- disable "App icon badges"
