please wait till avast is finished changing or repairing ... never finishes...

Avast is not working tried repair it seems stuck in repair... I can't get it to do a thing.  I have tried the restart many times not budging.

win 8.1 (64) avast version 18.5.2342(build) 18.5.3931.0 apparently this is Premier version according to an internet search on that version number above.. tho it does not state this in about or any other place on my computer...

now it says it was updated...successfully but I still have a read message you are unprotected... Loading should not take this long been doing this a long time...

so I am using my computer for the first time in a long time without avast working and thinking ...why am I paying for this ... I dont see any difference...

If Repair doesn't fix the problem, try the following:
If your Avast settings are not the default settings and you want them restored after the Clean Install, follow this before removing Avast.
