Silent Mode.
« on: January 07, 2020, 12:18:23 PM »
Yes, I have Avast in silent mode, that's because I play games and don't want to have the game minimised, usually at the worst possible time, because Avast has encountered a problem.

The problem with this is that you constantly get a notification about it, along with the small blue dot that tells you there are notifications. The blue dot never goes away and you can't get rid of the silent mode notification either. This can lead to missing other notifications that may come in since the blue dot is the only indication of it. If the blue dot is always there, it just becomes a part of the Avast icon and is ignored.

It really needs a way to dismiss that prompt to turn off silent mode, or remove the blue dot for notifications that have been viewed.

Hi,

Thank you for reporting this. We will look into it.

May I suggest that you try Do-Not-Disturb mode as an alternative option.
Please see this article for more information.

That's how I have it.

However, I do have silent mode enabled as well, because I prefer to let the VK do it's own thing, even when I don't have anything running full screen.

Even if I turn off silent mode using the notification link, it still shows the blue dot to tell me there are notifications, but there are none.
