Avast VPN blocking Wifi connection
« on: January 11, 2020, 10:21:10 AM »
Hello. Whenever I connect to Avast VPN, a yellow triangle with exclamation point appear on my WIFI icon and my connection gets blocked. I tried many advises on Youtube and others but all didn't work (firewall, wifi properties ..) . Any suggestions ??
Thanks

Hi,

Are you using LAN/WLAN switching software (e.g. HP LanWlanSwitching Service on HP laptop)?

Hello. I didn't receive any notification about your response, anyway since I posted my question all was OK and now agains, my WiFi is being blocked when I connect to Avast VPN. I have WLAN but not any support software. My laptop is Lenovo.

Hi,

The LAN/WLAN switching service differs by name from manufacturer to manufacturer.
It is located in the services app (services.msc)

In Avast SecureLine you might also want to check "Exclude trusted private networks"
[Menu > Settings>Network Security] and make sure the network profile is set to private.

Do you have the latest SecureLine VPN client? (Re-install to make sure you have the latest VPN client)
