File Shield keeps enabling itself
« on: January 26, 2020, 06:05:53 AM »
I only use AMS for the anti theft module. I have disabled all shields in settings but File Shield continually reenables itself after a period of time. I want this disabled and to disabled.

Hi, we need to investigate this, could you please specify:

- what type of device you have
- what Android version it is
- what Avast Mobile Security version you are using?

Hi, sorry for the delay, we have tried to reproduce it.
The feature did not reenable itself but after a while, there was a notification of some issues.
Clicking on the notification sends you to the scan results where you can see a message that you are not protected because the the File Shield feature is disabled. If you click resolve, the feature will be enabled automatically.

Is it possible that you misunderstood that both locations (Settings and Scan Results) are the same feature?

I'm in the settings menu where shields can be turned off and on. In the Activity Log I see at random times that File Shield gets enabled. However I've since discovered that be restarting the phone it enables the File Shield every time.
