Status Page spinning circle after update.

I just updated to Avast Pro 19.8.2393 (build 19.8.4257.552) and all I get on the Status Page is a spinning circle. Other tabs seem OK.

I don't see a spinning circle, on the main UI page only a circle (in place of a shield), this is the new UI version 1.0.440. 
Is this the UI version that you have and were you running a scan at the time ?

When I open the program it opens on the Status Page, which is blank except for the spinning circle in the middle. No scans running - this started right after I updated to the version I listed above. UI 1.0.370.

No spinning here, previous UI versions should have had a shield, not a circle, spinning or otherwise.

Not exactly sure what it is you mean by the status page, do you mean the main UI Home page ?
If not, attach a screenshot would confirm.

Try a manual program update from the avast tray icon and restart your system after that should hopefully get you on the 1.0.440 version of the UI.

It's the icon displayed when it's trying to connect of gather info.

OK, that certainly isn't normal, I wouldn't have thought there would be that information to gather.  I have never seen this on either of my systems (it is almost instantaneous, I see the spinning circle for less than a second), but neither are low powered, etc.  However both are Avast Free.

I'm just wondering if this isn't something related to having Avast Pro, e.g. is trying to update/convert to Avast Premium Security, as avast are trying to switch users over on to the Premium version (at no cost for the remainder of their license period).

Or that the Avast Pro Firewall is set to Public or somehow blocking a UI connection.

You could try an Avast Repair.
