Off Topic/Microsoft Edge
« on: January 30, 2020, 07:46:30 PM »
I got the new version via win updates a few days ago and I don't really like it.  I can go to the control panel and uninstall it but I don't know whether or not I would get the old Edge back,  I don't want to to do a system restore.

Anyone else have this new browser?

If you don't like it, don't use it.

The new Edge is based on Google Chromium.

I didn't like the old version, so never used that either, however as it is part and parcel of the OS, you can't get rid of it.  I don't know if this is the case with the chromium version of Edge.  If you know the KB that this update this came with what is to stop you uninstalling/rolling back that KB.

This is a question that is probable best asked on a specialist window 10 forum.

If you don't want it, uninstall it.

I'm fairly sure if you remove the new Edge Chromium you wont get back the old Edge unless prior registry changes were made to prevent it being removed.
