I have only used the Ewido free online scan - which has no conflicts with avast.

I have also tried Windows Defender without problems, one of the folks I support is running Windows Defender concurrently with avast permanently now with no conflicts.

I use the Ewido free version and no conflicts neither did I have any problem with the 30 trial which has the full resident functionality enabled.

Never used Defender but many forum member do/did with no apparent problems.
