Warning on Windows 10 Forum site.
« on: February 08, 2020, 11:12:16 AM »
Just curious how you can get a warning about a web site, just because a lot of people hit the don't trust button.

Since Avast itself doesn't specify of finding anything suspicious.

In Posts I have seen where posters have been instructed to break links, so  a link can not be open by mistake. When warnings are given, that there may be problems with that site

We usually break it by using the following https becomes hxxps
in your broken link that could be either http or https.
You are correct, a link that leads to a potential infected site should always be broken.
If you suspect a false positive, use the following,

Report a false positive (select file or website)

The problem being in your link is that it also includes the www which still makes the link look/appear active (although it would generally fail) so you would have to modify that as I have done in your quoted text.  You may also have wrapped that text in the URL tag, which would also try to make it active (which I also removed from the quoted text).

However, what is probably better (certainly in this case) would be to only have the domain name tenforums.com.
