URGENT
When PC M a g    I n v e s t i g a t e d  Avast  8)
they found   s p y i n g   software piping your personal web activity to a database.

JumpShot.com sold your    personal   d a t a.  For millions of dollars, that is bad.
That website jumpshot.com owned by avast is now DEAD, avast has pulled the plug in it, to cover their tracks.
See for yourself, click on jumpshot and you get a WHITE SCREEN: [ Jumpshot has ceased operations. Thank you. ]

Readers if you are reading this please take a screen shot or cut and copy the text - AVAST TOOK DOWN HUNDREDS OF TRUE R E P O R T S.
Readers please  R E P O S T  that copy every place!  If you see it here it will be gone soon!

    Avast also owns AVG.
It is very bad.   AVAST PLEASE STOP THIS, TOO LATE PEOPLE ARE VERY ANGRY!  YOUR AVST SHARES DIVE CRASHED FELL BECAUSE OF THIS REPORT.

@ In 2013, 2015 you wiped out the PC users adware as you should and replaced it with YOUR ADWARE - OOPS BLUNDER

    @ 2018, 2019, you   s o l d  TERRABIYTES of personal d a t a, every C L I C K and L I N K and P U R C H A S E  people made - OOPS WORSE BLUNDER!

If you paied for the anti-virus, they s t o l e   your   d a t a,  if you got it free they did exactly the same!
Avast 2019 had enabled M A L W A R E  options ON by default.  THAT IS VERY BAD!
Read the terms and conditions - we find these terms and conditions make Avast M A L W A R E.

Sorry forum readers.  AVST shares did crash, avast is malware.
When they H A S H E D  the parts of personal   d a t a.  This makes that  h a s h   unique enough to backtrack to confirm by a simple guess what that personal  i n f o   was.
So that Avast is violating G D P R is an understatement - worse when they see this report they delete it (so take a copy and  r e p o s t   it).
IF YOU READ THIS - TAKE A COPY FAST -  I AM NOT JOKING  CUT AND PAST OR SCREEN SHOT IS BETTER.

GOOD SOME PEOPLE HAVE BEEN PAYING ATTENTION.  AVAST YOU CANT KILL THIS BAD NEWS. SORRY!

Using bunch of different font sizes, types and colors is not helpful and is super annoying to read. Also throwing bunch of info you sort of heard and urge everyone to spread those less than rumors is a bit... weird.

Secondly, they actually were asking if you want to share data with them. Has everyone just clicked "OK" and those same people are now all outraged?

Thirdly, there was no private data "leaked" or "sold". It was just alleged that it COULD technically be possible to backtrace to certain users by doing extensive filtering of the data sets. It wasn't ACTUALLY done.

As much as I would like to believe that nothing was indeed "done".... You, nor I can be sure about that.

Although I found the tidbit about stock prices crashing so I looked into it. (Jan 24, Peak @ 551. Jan 30, @ 395.... or about 7.15USD to 5.13USD)

Avast definitely has taken a hit, and in stocks also.
Stocks have most certainly fallen, and could likely fall farther

Avast is quoted on London Stock Exchange:

From this it looks like price took a hit on 30/1, but has since rebounded somewhat.

It's up again today. Maybe someone has figured out that some of the accusations may not be as blatant as first reported?
The real danger to our information happens via breaches and there have been many of those.
Breaches usually result in the release of raw data. What Avast shared was not raw data. Everyone seems to ignore that fact.
Avast has also stopped the practice of sharing the unanimous and personally identifiable information.
