Omni blocks NEST thermostats

I had 2 NEST smart thermostats installed and they were connected to the network for less than 1 day.  When I open the OMNI app they are not listed as a device that needs a home or a device that is blocked.  When I try to add a device it is not what I expected.  I expected to be able to put in the IP address and/or the MAC address so the device becomes known. 

I cleared the devices and reloaded the app.  It went ahead and scanned all devices or downloaded them; but the NEST devices were not there.

How do I get the devices to be recognized by OMNI?

Are you sure the device is actually connecting to the net?
No problem here with my Nest as you can see,

Yes.  The Nest thermostat shows the network that it is on and has been assigned an IP address.  When OMNI is physically removed from the router (detached) the thermostats can be accessed from the android app.  When the OMNI is placed into the system and reactivated all the other devices show up but the Nest thermostat.  OMNI doesn't even request an owner for a newly discovered device.  The Nest thermostat becomes offline to the android app and is unreachable.  How can I force the new device onto OMNI so that it sees it?
