AvastUI.exe run 100% of time machine for minutes

Hi everybody,

I use Avast Free antivirus for a while for my EeePC Asus and on other computers running Windows XP.
Since months, after my computer start-up, AvastUI.exe uses 100% of time processor for 5~10 mn, then, suddenly, it stops and computer becomes usable.
I already search for solutions, without any result.
I use "Windows XP family", the last version.
Could you tell me what can I do to identify the reason of this problem and suggest me what to do to solve it?
