You have 2 choices.
1. make an exception for Soda PDF
2. find another product that isn't considered dangerous.

I have been going back and forth with Soda customer service since July. I have tried to force Avast to allow Soda to load, but no luck. About a week ago Soda (someone named Molly) sent me instructions to disactivate Avast for 30 minutes and they sent a link to a program (that will load without Avast active) that removes Soda completely and another link that was supposed to download and install Soda again. Unfortunately, the second link did not work and I was unable to download the version of Soda PDF I had bought (Soda PDF 8 Pro). I have given up and will probably go ahead and buy Adobe PDF, as I can't afford to have an inoperative PDF editor and I think that Avast would probably not introduce routines that would make an Adobe product inoperative. Avast has probably done a lot of damage to Soda (or Lulu Software).  I suspect there will be a lot of lawsuits soon.

Depending on what you want to do with pdf's, maybe have a look at Xodo as alternative to Adobe.

I have given up on Soda. Neither Soda 12 or Soda 8 work anymore with Avast so I bought Adobe. Are we sure Avast is not working for Adobe? LOL

L.S.,

The best option is not to use it, because it is known as so-called bloatware.

What usually make people to remove Soda PDF?
Soda PDF is not compatible with other installed applications.
Program gets a corrupted issue unexpectedly.
Soda PDF is not as good as the user expected, and need to be erased from the computer.
Soda PDF should be uninstalled first and reinstalled on the PC.
The application is regarded by the user and some websites as a suspect malware.

Most common problems of removing the software:
Soda PDF program is not available on the Windows uninstall panel.
Soda PDF can't be removed from the Windows and always receive a notification.
Nothing happen when click on the uninstall button on Windows.
Soda PDF or the related process still keep running on the computer after removing it.
Some files and traces of the program still can be found.
Removing process running for a long time and does not come to the end.

So use the product's uninstall tool, or do it with the help of a qualified remover.
