This tool is developed by me so it's safe for sure.
I could never 'allow' the servers to download it... always busy...
Can you send it by email to me? Thanks. I'll send you an IM with my email address.

OK So have you found the answer to my question yet. Does WinPatrol need to be closed down as well? to use Rejzor security fix.

I'm glad to be able to tell you now: The latest program update to 4.7.871 [VPS 0640-2] solved that problem perfectly. Windows Security Center is now showing, that avast! antivirus 4.7.871 [VPS 0640-2] is up to date and the virus protection is active. Thank You!

You don't have the latest program version, that is 4.7.892, you do however, have the latest VPS update.

You might want to initiate a manual program update, right click the avast icon, Updating, Program Update.

You're right David, thank you for that advice. But when I retry the update I get the message that my version is already 4.7.892. It's a little bit confusing. Maybe that's another bug and WSS and avasts about box are showing the wrong version (see pictures below). If the problem will not disappear after the next cold start of my computer (did only restart yet) it might be a reason for another subject in this forum.

However, the WSS problem that I had is definitively fixed and this topic should be closed now. ;)

Sometimes things get out of sync, try a repair of avast. Add Remove programs, select 'avast! Anti-Virus,' click the Change/Remove button and scroll down to Repair, click next and follow. You need to be on-line to do this. This seems to bring them back into line.

Thank You DavidR :) That was the solution. The about box showed instantly after this the correct version. WSS needed one restart of my computer. Now is everthing "in sync". I'm now absolutely satisfied about avast and this forum.
