Windows 10 Update 1909 causes issue with Interface display
« on: March 16, 2020, 08:05:29 AM »
The latest update 1909 causes an issue with Avast Internet Security interface. The interface will not open and a fix is as follows.
Open the Settings and select Apps & Features  Select the app and click uninstall and selecting repair. I had to re-enter the license code as it was displaying 30 days left instead of my normal subscription.

I have been having this issue also for a couple of weeks.  I find it inconvenient to uninstall and reinstall Avast every time I boot up. In addition, I use Avast Password and it won't allow me to insert my master password. Fortunately, I don't use the long string of letters/symbols suggested by Password otherwise I would be locked out of every website including my work sites.

<sigh> this is getting ridiculous...a side issue when I can't open the Avast UI is that it locks up my ability to open any Adobe Acrobat docs. I'm going to have to use another anti virus solution until this gets sorted out.

Clean install after clean install after clean install is no way to live life... :o
