Hi,

Are you referring to the Master Password or the Avast account password?
Please, PM me your email address (used for Avast Passwords)

If you can't remember the old avast account password then you will have to start all over.
Please PM me your email address if you wish to proceed.

Seem to have a similar problem.  I had it synced to my old laptop, which has since become unable to hold any charge due to a broken power plug.  As a result, I had to get a new computer, but this one continues to think it is a subsequent device.  Can I have my old one's sync disabled and my old stored passwords sent over?

Hi, you still seem to be on the old system. Please see if this will help: https://support.avast.com/en-ww/article/Restore-Passwords-data-backup/

Hi,

You can export your passwords from your old Windows device and re-import them into the new device. That is the only option apart from starting from scratch.

@avast_antivirus I have been trying to sync and back up my logins across all my devices via Avast Password but I am being asked to confirm or provide previous password on another synced device which I don't have or know of. Attached is the screenshot of the error message. https://t.co/Y9uiosneMh

I backed up my pw file, which included a nice strong pw for avast.  Hard drive died, had to change avast pw since I don't remember the old one, now I'm locked out of the backup since I don't have a second device.
