Withdrawal without permission
« on: March 25, 2020, 01:55:37 PM »
Hi, among you guys, have you ever been in the same situation as me?
I got notification from my bank that saying $20 much of cash got withdrawal from my account by the name of (IE)DRI*AVAST Software avast.com/ord IRL, so I've been trying to find any kind of receipts from AVAST via email and mail. But I couldn't find any. Thus using the website that can search my order ID by my email and card number, It also failed. I didn't agree with any form of contract with AVAST and my last purchase of product from AVAST was back in 2014. How should I request a refund to AVAST?

yes you should definitely ask for a refund.

last week I also got charged 79.99 USD and now I saw no subscription in my account on the portal. No warning email about auto-renewal, no order confirmation of the auto-renewal. And when I emailed the customer service and explained the situation, they said they couldn't find the order, even after I had provided them with the detail of the transcation (VISA card last 4 numbers, my fullname, date of transaction).

Here's the text about the vendor '13:54 20.03.20 DRI*AVAST Software 79.99USD'. It's apparent that it's a vendor of Avast that charged the amount on my credit card. And similar issues have been reported on Avast Community here: https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=217201.30

Someone on the team please look into this thing. It's really making life hard for me during this tough time of the covid virus when every cent matters to me.
