TL;DR - ignore it for now. Click OK. We are aware - and working on it to deliver before next major macosx release

We have resolved the legacy system extensions for MacOS 11 BigSur in version 14.6. Beta available now - https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=238399.msg1562622#msg1562622

However we cannot enable the new system extensions in Catalina macosx because of issues with the system APIs. We reported the discrepancy in the messaging and the bugs to Apple already. Let hope that they will either fix the APIs or they will disable the crazy messaging about future incompatibility. It's a real catch 22 for us. If we do enable our newly rewritten approach for our users on older systems then we'd completely destroy their user experience because of flaws in the API provided by Apple.

Lukas, would this mean you have to have two installers or the one version will select the appropriate approach based on the OS version?

No, just one installer. However it will use either KEXT or SEXT solution based on your macosx. SEXTs will be used only on BigSur.

Good news is that if you update from Catalina (or older) to BigSur then we can switch to SEXTs immediately.
Bad news is that you'll have to set up again the "rights" for System Extension in System Preferences. However our new setup wizard should guide through it. And you need to set it up only once.
