Just to increase the post count? It certainly doesn't pass along anything important.

Nothing to gain in increasing my post count. Users have the right and should know about issues/bugs even after they're fixed. That's basically the same Microsoft does on patch day. Further, it's interesting to see how a company deals with such reports.

As you stated, since I can't depend on the validity or accuracy or timeliness of this information, I'll simply ignore it.

IMO, it does, as it shows the will & dedication for improvements they've done over the months.

Your thread. Zoom is one of the safest platforms.
I also can't think of any company of any size that hasn't had some incident with security issues.
Considering the speed in which they have addressed all issues is a credit to their commitment toward
a secure platform and end to end encryption enforces that commitment.

For me anything to do with Government (any country) warning about security, is a bit like the pot calling the kettle black. 
They need to get their own house in order first before giving advice on security.

part of ZOOM for a long time. so has the ability to report individuals to ZOOM for further actions on their part.

I did see some security enhancements in the latest updates but, Banning and reporting has been available for a long time.
