With the update I lost "network connection" of the current network in the firewall.
I only have "firewall logs", "settings" and "application settings".
Is this normal?
Hi Chris and Asyn,
In the last Avast version, we have completely changed the architecture of the firewall engine to be faster and more stable. Unfortunately, the side effect of this change is that we do not have all the information needed to show the Connection view. However, we still plan to restore this view in the near future.
Thanks for the info Martin.

This new architecture has also effected casting. Casting only works when the firewall is turned off. (Sharing is set to allow)

Provide details. Many issues have been fixed via EMU/UIU already.

The numerous reports posted in this forum (for this release) seem obvious to me. Updating, Installing, uninstalling, reinstalling, firewall, access to Internet ...I have been using Avast for years and everytime there is a new version it's more and more complicated to get it work properly (see my post after the 20.1 release).
Best regards

I'm still with 20.1 version waiting for a stabilized version which is often released after a couple of days/weeks

With this version, every time my computer goes out of sleep mode , the firewall blocks access to the net. I have to:
- either disable/enable my network connection
- either disable the firewall, open my browser and enable the firewall
The repair didn't solve the problem, so I'll wait a little longer before trying a clean install.

Have the problems I reported here been resolved?

https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=233119.msg1541285#msg1541285

I would like to reinstall Avast Premiun Security but I have more than one doubt as to whether to do so since nobody has deigned to give an answer (and they are concrete and rather evident problems)!

Hello, all. Completed the update the other day and was also having the firewall issue but after a couple of clean uninstall's everything's fine. However, now my issue is with modifying firewall rules. It's taking forever to do so. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks for developing and maintaining a solid product. Been a fan since the beginning. Orange is the way.

My Avast Pro 10-U license expire on April 27, today I renew it, it gave me the latest Avast Premium multi-devices V20.
I try activate the new subscription on my existing computer with the new activation code, but no luck it would not take it as valid code???

So I uninstall the old Avast, login to my account, download the new Avast Premium Security for Windows. 383MB exe file.
Try install it, but it never finish properly.  It always end itself with no error. No icon on desktop.
Tried uninstall, reboot, then start the new install three times. No help.
Later on I found that the AvastUI.exe never exist. The Avast services will not auto starts.

I remember years ago, there was some fool-proofed UNINSTALL program somewhere that will remove prior installation clean, would that help and where to get it now?
Would someone direct me how to solve this problem?

Thank You, Phi
