I have three windows 10 machines on my home network and all three have developed the same problem in recent weeks. Any of the machines will suddenly loose all internet connectivity and sometimes local connectivity. I get messages such as "No Internet DNS_Probe_Finished" or "No Reply from DNS server". On the affected machine I can ping the DNS server without problem. Other two machines may be working on the same network without difficulty. Rebooting the affected machine usually cures the problem. After many days struggling with this, I find that stopping the Avast firewall and restarting it causes connectivity to the internet to be resumed. I have tried two or three DNS servers, but all have the same problem. It appears to be the Avast Firewall that is the problem.
Do you have a solution, or do I have to change my virus protection to another firm? Please help.
