Continuous re-install
« on: May 02, 2020, 11:00:58 PM »
Avast browser extension for chrome was loaded as part of CCleaner update. I have uninstalled CCleaner but no matter how I try to uninstall Avast browser extention, it re-installs every time I open a new window in Chrome.

Please provide instructions on how to permanently stop this behavior.
I would like it permanently removed from my PC and have tried all standard uninstall methods.

I'm going to guess the only way to permanently keep it from doing this is to remove the Avast software from the PC. I've been having this same issue and there is no way to prevent it that I can find, unless you remove the Avast software from your PC and go with a different antivirus solution.
It's a very underhanded method of embedding themselves more into your PC and, I'm sure, provides them a better way of tracking your online activity.

Let me restate, Avast does not appear in my list of Programs. There is nothing to un-install or change.
