I have an Acer Predator Z35P monitor with Gsync and 2 GTX1070 founders in SLI. A weird and very annoying issue has just began happening since Avast started controlling Chrome with "managed by your organization". When I open any video in full screen mode in Chrome my monitor turns to static and retracts to the top of the screen, audio still plays and my second monitor still works fine. I have to unplug the monitor and plug it back in to get the screen to come back on. This issue does not happen in FireFox or in Internet Explorer it only happens in Chrome. FYI I have restored my chrome and removed all addons except Avast and the issue is still present, I have tried turning Gsync off, I have tried setting the monitor to other refresh rates.

UPDATE PROBLEM SOLVED AND EXPLAINED BELOW
The problem was due to Chrome using my hardware to accelerate features such as video. I am not sure why this has suddenly become a problem but if anyone else is experiencing this the fix is very simple.
1) Open settings in Chrome (the three dots in the upper right hand corner).
2) Open advanced
3) Open system
4) Turn off hardware acceleration and shut Chrome down completely and restart it
NOTE: if this does not solve the problem you may need to restart your computer to make the changes take effect.
