New install. Avast keeps saying an update is available.
« on: May 01, 2020, 06:23:19 PM »
I just bought an HP Envy Laptop, I uninstalled Mcaffe that it came with and also used the Mcafee uninstall tool. I've installed Avast, restarted the laptop and avast keeps saying an important update is available.

I click on update and it then tells me Avast is up to date but when I look at the Avast main screen it still says an update is available.

When I repair Avast it initially tells be everything is fine, but shortly afterwards it says an update is available and I go through the same process again.

I reinstalled Avast and that has corrected the problem.
